| Innovation brightens bookstacks at a Canadian universityThe new Riddell Library and Learning Centre at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, is filled with modern amenities like technology-enabled classrooms, a makerspace, and a variety of collaborative work areas. The project planning team wanted the bookstacks to be as bright, appealing, and innovative as other areas throughout the library, so they ordered Spacesaver’s illuminated library shelving. Spacesaver’s energy-efficient LED lighting system illuminates the books on each shelf and the steel shelving frames enclose a hollow conduit to provide space for electrical wiring. The end result is a complete, self-contained solution. |
