This week’s Trailblazer discusses the Evidence Refrigerator Tube Drop. This engineered-to-order (ETO) was suggested to us by Randy Hacker of McMurray Stern.
This ETO has been done several times, in different variations, as a evidence storage solution for Police and Sheriff Departments. The evidence refrigerator tube drop provides storage for numerous tubes and vials containing biological evidence in a secure, refrigerated environment.
Biological evidence tubes and vials are dropped through a tube slot into a locked, refrigerator compartment in the EDL series lockers. The refrigerator maintains the temperature of the biological evidence and the tube drop allows multiple vials to be dropped into one locked
As always, we like to note that this innovative ETO solution would not have been possible without the collaboration of Randy Hacker, McMurray Stern, and Spacesaver Corporation.
