Vol. 319: Durable Storage for County Archives

Keeping public records protected, organized, and accessible

County governments need to store modern and historic documents including atlases, plat records, court documents, marriage records, and many other materials that are often required by state law to be preserved on paper.

County archives hold a treasure trove of information and, because they’re public records, they must be made available to staff, researchers, the general public, or to the media upon request.

See how this county archive protects precious documents with Spacesaver products!

Vol. 317: Updating a Mobile Racking System

Re-investing in a 20-year-old military asset

To keep inventory organized while also providing convenient access to stored items, a Spacesaver mobile racking system was installed in this military warehouse about 20 years ago. The system functioned well over the years, but, similar to the warehouse’s original thermostats and security systems, its electronic components eventually needed an update.

Vol. 316: An Eye-Catching Equipment Room

Impressing top football team recruits

When top-tier prospects consider signing on with a college football team, they want to learn all they can before they make a commitment. They typically already know the team’s record, of course, but they also want to know about the coaching staff, the team’s potential to win games in the future, and even the team’s equipment room. That’s because the equipment room is a reflection of an institution’s commitment to ensuring that players stay safe and have everything they need to excel.

Vol. 313: Creative Solutions for Visible Storage

Preserving artist-built environments

Our latest case study highlights a new museum’s creative approach to exhibit design: each artist’s work is presented in a “tableau,” or a distinct, immersive setting that reflects the environment created by that artist.

Casual visitors can view a selection of the artists’ works in display cabinets created from Spacesaver’s high-bay shelving, while other works are in flat-file cabinets or trays on RaptorRAC™ shelving where they can be seen by appointment. Art racks form “walls” to create an immersive experience and allow staff to instantly change out works on exhibit.

A library refreshes a decades-old system’s function and appearance

As Spacesaver continues to roll out sales tools in support of the “Power of Reliability” campaign, this month we’re releasing news about a major urban library’s electronics update.

Spacesaver systems were installed on multiple floors when this library was built in the early 1990s, and now we’re refreshing the appearance and function of systems throughout the building.

Vol. 311: Rapid Readiness Box

Store it how you ship it – Ship by land, sea, or air

Lives depend on military shelters and other gear, so it’s important to keep it organized and in good condition. Gear takes up a lot of space, though, and building and re-building wooden crates for transport takes up time that could be better spent training or preparing to deploy.

Check out our new Rapid Readiness Box, which is a metal transport crate that’s stackable, durable, and sized just right for storing and shipping essential gear.
