Vol. 299: Cold Storage for COVID Response

Compactly storing vaccines, test kits, and cold boxes

Spacesaver can help increase capacity in new or existing walk-in coolers, freezers, and cold storage warehouses, and we have decades of experience in highly regulated healthcare settings and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

See why Spacesaver has been trusted by hospitals, warehouses, and pharmaceutical manufacturers for decades.

Vol. 298: Complete solutions at a medical college

Saving space and promoting efficiency

A new 15,000-square-foot “simulation center” at this medical college looks like a typical campus building from the outside, but the interior tells a different story.

Instead of large lecture halls, the center offers high-tech simulation rooms complete with hyper-realistic medical equipment, high-fidelity mannequins, and video cameras for training and debriefing. The ultimate goal is to improve patient care by giving students realistic, hands-on training in medical procedures.

See how Spacesaver’s Day Use Lockers and compact mobile systems help protect valuable simulation equipment.

Vol. 297: Convenience and Reliability

Refreshing a university’s powered mobile system

A prestigious university chose Spacesaver to provide powered mobile shelving for its two largest libraries about 25 years ago. The electronic controls worked reliably ever since, but eventually, like many electronic devices, the electronic controls on the Spacesaver systems required an update.

See how Spacesaver’s updated electronic systems refreshed the libraries’ investment in electronic shelving while also saving money and repurposing resources.

Vol. 296: Complete Solutions for Airport Police

Securing weapons, evidence, records, and officers’ gear

The police department at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is one of the largest in the city, employing approximately 200 officers who patrol 17,000 acres and protect 70 million passengers in a typical year.

To support officers and other public safety professionals, a new 130,000 square-foot facility was recently built near the airport. The facility includes locker rooms, a shooting range, records storage, evidence storage, and a property room.

See how Spacesaver helps officers stay at the ready to ensure the safety of the traveling public:

Vol. 295: Compact Cold Storage in a COVID Lab

Spacesaver supports 6x increase in testing capacity

In response to an urgent need to process more COVID-19 tests, a new lab was constructed in only two months by building out 30,000 square feet of shelled space inside an existing 150,000-square-foot facility.

The existing lab had been processing 7500 tests daily, and its capacity will increase by approximately 50,000 more tests per day when the addition is fully operational in early 2021.

See how Spacesaver stepped up to meet the lab’s goals within a tight timeframe.

Vol. 294: The Power of Reliability

Spacesaver’s powered mobile systems are fast, convenient, and safe. They also work for decades, day in and day out.

But one concern always comes up when talking with customers about powered mobile systems: “I’m worried about reliability.”

Our “Power of Reliability” campaign addresses your clients’ questions with solid proof. Did you miss our webinar earlier today? We’ll email you a link to the recording tomorrow. In the meantime, share campaign collateral with your networks!

Vol. 293: Ventilated ‘cabinets’ for a research lab

Optimizing space and maintaining a safe, clean laboratory

A pharmaceutical company was designing a new research lab, and the design team had four main requirements for cabinets that would store chemical reagents:

  • Provide exceptional ventilation
  • Provide visibility to stored items
  • Occupy the least amount of space possible
  • Promote a clean laboratory environment

Vol. 292: Illuminated 920 Series Cabinets

Visible, versatile storage in exhibit design

In traditional museums, the public only gets to see a relatively small number of the museum’s holdings. Staff at this museum wanted to help visitors better understand collections by putting more items on public display.

To protect the military arms and uniforms in the exhibit, staff chose illuminated Viking Preservation Cabinets 920 Series. The cabinets lock to ensure security in the public space and the cabinets’ interiors can be reconfigured to display different items in the future.

Vol. 291: Secure storage for the Air Force

Saving space and keeping frequently-used tools accessible

In the U.S. Air Force, lives depend on well-maintained planes. To securely store commonly used tools, parts, and supplies, the Support Section Chief at an Air Maintenance Unit wanted to set up a cage in the supply room near the exit door to the runway.

Space was a problem, though: the cage would need to extend out into the room, about three feet beyond the outer edge of the shelving.

Instead of a cage, the Spacesaver solution securely stores crucial tools and supplies while taking up half the space that a cage would require to store the same items.Get the details!
