Future-Proofing The Past
No matter if the collection your client is displaying is temporary or permanent, the goal is to maximize visibility and security through the solutions you provide. In the case of Emory University’s Michael C. Carlos Museum, Gene Reilley of Patterson Pope did just that with the help of some custom engineering from the in-house team at The Fort.
Focusing on the museum’s collection of south Asian artwork ranging back to the 17th century, Gene worked with university staff to provide engineered-to-order flat file cabinets that increased visibility and access for patrons. Incorporating locking drawers punched for custom handles and outfitted with locking glass tops, Gene provided added security, visibility, and capacity for artifacts, in addition to secure access for staff, researchers, and patrons while preserving these priceless artifacts for generations to come.
