Vol. 368: Innovative Storage for Pushing the Limits

Powering Innovation, Excellence, and Possibilities

As the only experimental base in the US, Edwards Air Force Base champions furthering advancements in flight. The base hosts pilots and manufacturers from around the world, each looking for confirmation that their ideas are clear for takeoff.

Among this environment of next-level improvement, there was a clear laggard within the base’s facilities – their pilot lockers. Lacking the dimensions to adequately support its pilots’ sophisticated gear and personal belongings, base commanders reached out to Keith Michael of McMurray Stern, their local Spacesaver rep, for ground support.

Despite having to wait several years for funding to be allocated toward the project, Keith kept in touch with each person who took command in the interim to ensure he’d be ready for action when called upon. When that time came, he worked with Spacesaver’s design and engineering teams to deliver 309 innovative lockers that fit the exact needs of the base’s visitors and provided much needed power to fuel the innovation of these dedicated aeronautical experts.

Vol. 367: When A Plan Falls Into Place

Bottling Up Effective Evaluation

Like anything sold for public consumption, bottled water must be highly regulated to ensure the health and safety of those consuming it. Knowing this, Niagara Bottling Company – a leading bottled water provider – searched for a storage provider that could help securely store samples of their products should an issue arise with a specific batch and the FDA need to trace its origin.

Reaching out to Keith Michael of McMurray Stern for support, the company stated they needed a solution that could maximize storage capacity while keeping the system’s footprint to a minimum. What Keith delivered was a complete solution from end to end, including single-faced fixed shelving on one side and locking doors on the opposite side and bin fronts; leaving materials within the system locked up until ready for review.
